Ada Lovelace at Frankfurt Airport! The other day I came back from holidays and to my surprise I saw that at the shops at Frankfurt Airport they were selling the Ada magazines. Now at you not only can read about business, finances, politics and entertainment. Now you can also read about science and, in particular, how women are making a dent in IT. Nice!! . day @adalovelacefestival

Programmieren wäre also ein richtiges Frauen-Ding 👩‍👧‍👧. : Ada Lovelace was a gifted mathematician, and considered to have written instructions for the first computer program in the MID-1800s!!!!!⁣ ⁣ As a child, Ada was taught math and science by her tutors. These challenging subjects (for me, at least!) were uncommon for women at the time, but instead turned into Ada’s biggest passion.⁣ ⁣ Her contributions to computer science went unnoticed until the 1950s, when her notes were reintroduced to the world. Since then, Ada has received lots of posthumous honors for her work. There’s even a computer language named “Ada” . . #adalovelaceday
